A BIT ABOUT US

Welcome to the official website of the Sri Lanka Chamber of Garment Exporters. Established in 1992, our organization emerged during a critical period when small and medium-scale garment manufacturers required support in securing Textile Quota allocations in a fair and transparent manner.

At the Sri Lanka Chamber of Garment Exporters, we primarily advocate for the rights and benefits of the Small and Medium Sector. We operate as a registered entity under Section 34 of the Companies Act No.7 of 2007, dedicated to promoting the objectives outlined in our Articles of Association.

Our overarching vision is to cultivate a thriving apparel manufacturing sector comprised of vibrant small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that make substantial contributions to the national economy.

To effectively represent our members' interests, our Executive Committee Members actively engage with key government bodies including the Ministries of Industries, Trade, Finance, and Labour. We also work closely with organizations such as the Export Development Board, Customs, and SLITA. By collaborating with these entities, we strive to ensure that the concerns and perspectives of small and medium-sized factories are adequately represented.

Furthermore, we are proud to be a member organization within the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF), the apex body governing the textile and apparel industry. Through our membership, we actively contribute to shaping industry policies and initiatives.

Join us in our journey to empower the garment manufacturing sector, uplift SMEs, and drive economic growth.
